What the Carbyn app is

Carbyn AI includes the Carbyn iPhone app and tools for skilled trades teams. On your own, start a recording session, describe the job and end the session; Carbyn writes a note. Say “Hey Carbyn” during a session to ask a question. Edit your note and share it as PDF or text. If you use Carbyn through your company, Carbyn is a field tool for teams in manufacturing, HVAC, electrical, and equipment service. Ask Cortex, the AI assistant built into the app, about the equipment you work on. It searches your organization's manuals, service bulletins, and past repair records, then answers with its sources cited. You can type or talk. Record your work with Capture (voice or video) and it becomes a step-by-step procedure. Everything lands in your Library, organized by equipment and shared only inside your organization.

Getting an account

If you use the app on your own, open Carbyn, tap Continue and start without signing up. You can optionally sign up with a phone number and a text verification code. If you use Carbyn through your company, accounts are issued by its administrator under a service agreement.

Frequently asked questions

I can't log in, or I forgot my password.

If you use the app on your own, you can start without signing up or choose phone-number sign-up with a text verification code. For help with verification, email support@carbyn.ai. If you use Carbyn through your company, double-check that you're using the email address your organization's admin used to create your account. If you still can't get in, or you need a password reset, contact your admin or email support@carbyn.ai and we'll sort it out.

How do I delete my account?

If you use the app on your own, open Settings, then Profile, then tap Delete account and confirm. This deletes your personal workspace, including notes, recordings, uploaded photos and your account. If you use Carbyn through your company, open Profile, Danger zone, Delete account and follow the confirmation steps. Organization-owned work product remains with your company. See our Privacy Policy for deletion limitations. If you cannot open the app, email support@carbyn.ai; we may need information to identify anonymous data. Deleting the app alone does not delete server data.

How is my data used?

If you use the app on your own, your notes belong to your personal workspace. We send recordings, photos and note text to AI services to write notes and answer questions. You can turn this off in Settings, AI services and your data. “Improve Carbyn” is off by default; turning it on allows people at Carbyn to review some recordings and notes, and you can turn it off in Settings. If you use Carbyn through your company, questions, captures and procedures stay within its organization account. We do not sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Who can see what I capture?

If you use the app on your own, other app users cannot read your personal workspace notes. Carbyn and AI providers process content as described in the Privacy Policy. If you use Carbyn through your company, members of your organization can access its shared procedures and documents; these are not public or shared across customer organizations.

What devices are supported?

The Carbyn app is for iPhone. Check its App Store listing for supported iOS versions and availability. It is free to download and use on your own, subject to free-note limits, without an organization account. If you use Carbyn through your company, ask its admin for access.
